Free Barista Training

In February 2020, the Hotel Association Bhaktapur (HAB) took a progressive step toward strengthening local hospitality standards by organizing a Free Barista Training Program exclusively for its member hoteliers.

This initiative aimed to enhance professional coffee-making skills, improve service quality, and elevate the overall guest experience in Bhaktapur’s growing tourism market.

Key Highlights of the Training:

1. Hands-on espresso extraction techniques
2. Milk steaming and latte art basics
3. Coffee machine handling, cleaning & maintenance
4. Understanding coffee beans, roasting, and flavor profiles
5. Customer service and presentation skills

The training provided practical knowledge that enabled hotel staff to confidently serve high-quality coffee, meeting the expectations of both domestic and international travelers. It also encouraged standardization of café culture within Bhaktapur’s hospitality sector.

By offering this program free of cost, HAB demonstrated its commitment to capacity building, professional development, and sustainable tourism growth in Bhaktapur.
